I have no experience with shipping a car, but someone from the hackerspace open thread needed help (see the post 2 below mine). If you can help, thanks!
Here's an RS7 for your time.

Hoping you don't have only 105 HP to get the job done. The new model will be out by the time you get done shipping it if so.

I have several times. You can go through more expensive places like intercity or passport or just google a company (who will just be a broker) and they will take care of you. A lot of people say dont go to a broker, but I have a couple times and its been great. It's really a very easy undertaking, just do it. Although, be flexible with pickup times, its not an exact science for them.

I used FedEx Custom Critical. Not the cheapest but excellent service.

Shipped a Chevy Tahoe from Southern California to Long Island a year ago. My brother arranged everything with GEGA Transportation Inc., and they offered door-to-door service, fully insured. Went really smoothly.

I actually need input too - I'm planning on shipping from Baltimore, MD to Boulder, CO in June!
Not trying to jack the thread, but does anyone know if getting an enclosed carrier is worth it?

I saw a big rig the other day with a huge sleeper and a long solid bed, no trailer, it said FedEx Custom Critical on it. I was wondering what the hell it was. I don't think this did cars, they must do sensitive stuff that has to go faster.

Yeah, I wouldn't try towing anything heavier than a canoe with my car.

This was on display in Munich at the airport. It almost made me miss my next flight.
